Warranty & Care

Every Companion Club no-pull harness, waterproof collar and lead is covered for faults in materials and workmanship. Here's what our warranty covers, and how to wash and care for your dog's gear so it lasts.

What our warranty covers

A fault is a problem with how the product was made, for example:

  • stitching that comes apart under normal use
  • a buckle, clip or D-ring that breaks or won't fasten
  • PVC coating on a waterproof collar or lead that peels or cracks with normal use and care
  • a product that doesn't match its description

Puppy chewing: made for walks, not for chewing

Our collars, leads and harnesses are tough enough for everyday walks, but no dog accessory is chew-proof, and ours aren't designed to be chewed. Damage from chewing, biting, gnawing, scratching or tug-of-war isn't a fault, so it isn't covered.

If you have a teething puppy or an enthusiastic chewer:

  • take collars and harnesses off when your dog isn't supervised
  • don't leave leads where little teeth can reach them
  • keep a few chew toys handy to redirect them
  • check your gear before each walk, and stop using anything that's been chewed, as damaged straps or hardware can fail and let your dog slip free

What else isn't covered

  • normal wear and tear, such as softening, fading or scuffing over time
  • damage from misuse, such as tying your dog up unattended, using gear on the wrong size dog, or using a lead or harness for towing, tie-outs or anything other than walking
  • damage from not following the care instructions below, including machine washing or tumble drying
  • products that have been altered or repaired by someone else

How to make a warranty claim

Email hello@companionclub.com.au with your order number, a short description and clear photos of the problem. We'll reply within 1–2 business days. If it's a fault, we'll offer a repair, replacement or refund in line with the Australian Consumer Law and cover reasonable return postage.

This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which can't be excluded or limited by time.

How to wash a dog harness

The Daily Errands No-Pull Harness is made from soft neoprene lined with breathable air mesh, with water-repellent webbing.

  • hand wash in cold water, then rinse well
  • air dry in the shade; the water-repellent fabric dries quickly
  • rinse with fresh water after your dog swims in the ocean or a pool
  • don't machine wash, tumble dry, iron, bleach or soak
  • before each walk, check the three buckles, the neck security straps and the stitching

How to clean a waterproof dog collar and lead

The Everyday Collar and Everyday Lead are made from waterproof PVC, so mud and water wipe straight off.

  • wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then air dry
  • rinse with fresh water after the beach or pool to protect the hardware
  • no machine washing, bleach or harsh cleaners

Caring for buckles, clips and D-rings

  • rinse off salt water and sand after the beach, then dry
  • check buckles and clips regularly for wear
  • store out of direct sunlight to stop colours fading
