This Privacy Policy explains how Andrew Lewthwaite trading as Companion Club (ABN 93 627 993 469) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit companionclub.com.au or shop with us. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, and order history. Payments are processed by Shopify and our payment providers; we never see or store your full card details.
- When you sign up for emails or SMS: your email address and/or mobile number, and how you interact with our messages.
- When you leave a review: your name, review, rating and any photos you upload.
- When you contact us: whatever you include in your message, such as your dog's measurements or photos.
- When you browse: device and usage information collected through cookies and pixels, such as your IP address, browser, pages viewed and items added to cart.
You can browse our site without giving us your name, but we need your contact and address details to deliver an order.
How we use your information

Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Companion Club:

Cookies, the Meta pixel and advertising
Our site uses cookies and the Meta pixel to keep your cart working, understand site traffic, and show you relevant Companion Club ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may stop working. You can manage the ads you see through your Facebook ad preferences.
Marketing emails and SMS
We'll only send marketing emails or SMS if you've opted in. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, or you can reply STOP to SMS. You'll still get emails about your orders after unsubscribing.
Reviews and customer photos
Reviews you submit through Judge.me may be shown publicly on our site with your first name and last initial. If you tag @companionclubau or use our hashtags, we may ask to share your photo, and we'll credit you where we can. You can ask us to remove a review or photo at any time.
Keeping your information safe
We store information with secure providers and limit access to the people who need it. We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and legal purposes, then delete or de-identify them.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we need to keep it by law. Email hello@companionclub.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Our store is intended for adults. Purchases must be made by people aged 18 or over, or with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Privacy complaints
If you're worried about how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
